5-Spiced Basa Fillet
Making a meal that’s both tasty & healthy has been my ultimate pursuit in my kitchen. Everybody loves fried fish but many times it is too greasy. Everybody loves shaked & baked fish but the shake mix itself is full of add-on stuff we don’t need. I tried this minimal style fish recipe and everybody loved it! It can be applied to all sorts of fish fillets. Try it!
pat dry the fish
all the spices needed
From right to left, first shake and spread salt (fine salt is preferred), then Chinese 5-spice powder, then lemon pepper, lastly corn starch. Apply to both sides.
Rub the fish on both sides well so that the mixed spices cover all over fish fillet.
Use a nonstick flying pan on medium heat for this recipe. Add 2 tablespoonfuls of olive oil to the pan and spread out oil when the pot is heated. Gently lay the fillets in the center and let them fry till the bottom of fish hardens and can be moved easily. Turn the fish over to do the same for other side. Remove the fillet pieces from frying pan and serve immediately.
Flaky and yummy fish meal is ready! No catchup needed! Just a slice of seeded bread to go with a fresh basil + mint olive oil dip! Yum Yum!
