Green Bean is one of the most popular vegetables both in China and America, but is cooked very differently. Most vegetables are stir-fried not steamed so that the natural green flavor is kept and they will taste much better. All needed is oil and salt. No catchup or other condiments at the table.
This green bean recipe has been tested and loved by many people. My secret seasonings: Perfect Pinch Vegetable spice and garlic. The Perfect Pinch Vegetable seasoning is the most favorite spice in our family since we eat lots of veggies and many of them go really well with it. Almost all the summer greens sold in clear plastic containers in grocery stores can go with it. I rarely leave a grocery store without a bunch of fresh garlics. The special pungent flavor eliminates weird smell of meat and fish and enriches many fresh vegetables. The fresh garlics will not give bad breath at all if used as a spice. On the contrary it has many health benefits!
wash and cut the green beens (about 1lb.) into half (always wash vegetables even if the package says “washed” to make sure nothing has gone bad)
add 1 to 2 tablespoonfuls of olive oil to saute pan (wok if you have one) on medium heat
add finely chopped garlic and stir till they turn light gold
add about 1/2 teaspoonful of Perfect Pinch spice
add green beens immediately and stir frequently at high heat for about 3 minutes
add a tablespoonful of water just to make sure green beans are not getting burned at the bottom, repeat this if needed (it’s always a good idea to keep a small glass of water by the stove when it is on high heat)
return to medium heat and add 1/2 teaspoonful of salt, keep stirring for another 3 minutes or till the green beans turn darker and softer
